Overview
We’d like to invite you to play in the the 2024 GIA’s Memorial Classic Tournament;
Gia was a former Sporting CT 2007 player and part of our Sporting community. We want to always remember Gia’s smile and her legacy through our tournament.
August 3-4, in Middletown, CT.
*(only local teams will play on the Friday if needed)
The Tournament is for U9 – U17/18 boys and girls teams. The tournament is very straightforward and simply geared towards providing additional summer matches.
Information:
- Each team plays 3 games
- No Final – the team with the best record wins the tournament (scoring/point system/tiebreaker TBD)
Prices:
- U9 & U10: 7v7, 12 player max roster, $575 per team
- U11 & U12: 9v9, 16 player max roster, $600 per team
- U13 & U17/18: 11v11, 22 player max roster, $625 per team
Format
- 7v7 & 9v9 = 2 x 30 (60) min matches
- 11v11 = 2 x 35 (70) min matches
Team Discounts
- Clubs that enter 5-9 teams will receive a $50 discount per team
- Clubs that enter 10 or more teams will receive a $75 discount per team

- Sporting CT’s Country Club Rd Soccer Complex – 395 Country Club Rd, Middletown CT
- Middletown Youth Soccer Complex – 360 Long Hill Rd, Middletown CT
- Field complexes are 5 miles / 12 mins apart
